Validators recalculate invoice totals from line items, allowances, charges, tax subtotals, prepayments, and rounding.
What you may see
- Line sum does not match invoice total
- Tax inclusive amount does not match
- Payable amount does not match
- Tax subtotals do not match total tax
- Minor rounding difference detected
- PDF tax does not match export tax
- Prepaid amount exceeds invoice total
What this means
E-invoice validators recalculate totals from line items, allowances, charges, tax subtotals, prepayments, and rounding. If those numbers do not add up, the invoice can be rejected.
What to check
- Line net amounts
- Quantity times unit price
- Document-level discounts and charges
- VAT subtotals by rate and category
- Total without VAT
- Total VAT
- Total with VAT
- Amount already paid
- Amount due
- Rounding amount
