Which ZUGFeRD version do you support?

We support ZUGFeRD 2.3.2 for EN 16931-oriented hybrid invoices. Validation checks the required data before the PDF/A-3 with embedded XML is generated.

Which ZUGFeRD profile should I choose?

Start with the recipient requirement. Use EN 16931 for standard full semantic invoices, choose EXTENDED when the recipient or invoice complexity requires the superset profile, and only use lighter profiles when your trading partner explicitly accepts them.

Can recipients without special software read ZUGFeRD?

Yes! ZUGFeRD invoices appear as normal PDFs in any PDF reader. The embedded XML data is only accessed by specialized accounting software when needed.
