What's the difference between UBL and CII format?

CII (Cross Industry Invoice) is based on UN/CEFACT standards and is often preferred for ZUGFeRD implementations. UBL is more common in Peppol networks. Both are valid XRechnung formats.

Can I convert ZUGFeRD PDFs to pure CII?

Yes, our conversion flow can extract the XML component from ZUGFeRD PDFs and turn it into standalone CII format, or create new CII files from regular PDFs.
