EAS (Electronic Address Scheme)

Definition

EN 16931 code list (CEF EAS) that says which identifier scheme — VAT-ID, GLN, OIN, etc. — is used for an electronic address.

Explanation

Used in BT-34 SellerElectronicAddress and BT-49 BuyerElectronicAddress; common values include 9930 (German VAT-ID), 0088 (GLN), 0184 (Danish CVR), 0190 (Dutch OIN), 0208 (Belgian KBO/BCE).

Maintained by the European Commission DG DIGIT and aligned with ISO 6523; Peppol publishes the operationally accepted subset.
