Uses the RO_CIUS XML schema, a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 derivative; transmission is via the Spațiul Privat Virtual (SPV) portal or its API.

Mandatory B2B since July 2024; cross-border invoices use Peppol with EAS scheme 9947 for Romanian taxpayers.
