Used in BT-34 SellerElectronicAddress and BT-49 BuyerElectronicAddress; common values include 9930 (German VAT-ID), 0088 (GLN), 0184 (Danish CVR), 0190 (Dutch OIN), 0208 (Belgian KBO/BCE).

Maintained by the European Commission DG DIGIT and aligned with ISO 6523; Peppol publishes the operationally accepted subset.
